Honeycomb is a durable, cost-effective, custom-designed kraft material that has proven ideal for many uses including packaging, pallets, dunnage, furniture interiors and signage displays. It is made by joining individual strips of kraft paper together to form a series of continuous hexagonal cells. In most cases, both sides of the battery are made of similar materials to create the strongest product known. Honeycomb works on the I-beam. The facings of the panels act as the flanges of the I-beam, and the core acts as its web. Flanges carry tension and pressure across the face of the panel. The webs hold the flanges together in the correct order.
